ABOUT PATRICIA RIDGE BRADLEY
Patricia Ridge Bradley always wanted to be an artist and has been drawing and painting since childhood. After graduating with a BFA with an emphasis on drawing from Oklahoma State University, she worked in the banking industry until moving to Colorado. Before the move, Patricia apprenticed for an advertising agency that provided a crash course in design and illustration. The following year, she founded Bradley Studios and began a 35-year career as a free-lance graphic designer.
Now residing in Oklahoma, Patricia has returned to practicing fine art and works with charcoal, pastel and oil. She enjoys drawing and painting the figure, portraiture, still life, landscapes, cityscapes, and western themes in a representational style. Her technique ranges from very loose and spontaneous to meticulously rendered. In recent years, Patricia has studied under Leslie Lienau, Mike Wimmer, Glen Thomas, Huihan Liu, Kim English, Michelle Dunaway, Clive Tyler, Jude Tolar, Jeremy Lipking, Susan Lyon, Dan Robinson, Lance Hunter, Dale Martin, Sarah Sedwick, and Scott Waddell.
Patricia blends her love of travel with plein air painting, and has traveled often to Europe to paint with oils and pastels. She enjoys riding and camping with her horse, hiking and spending time outdoors. She and her husband spend time at their cabins in New Mexico and northeastern Oklahoma.
