Judge Carl Hurst

Carl Hurst is an American artist working in a variety of media. He is best known for his draftsmanship in figurative drawings using sepia leads, charcoal, and pastel. Other passions include painting, body art, and photography. He has a degree in graphic design from Oklahoma City University.

Carl believes that in order to master his craft, he must invest 10,000 hours of practice (known popularly as the 10,000 Hour Rule). For the benefit of himself and other artists, Carl hosts numerous figure drawing sessions each month. He hosts Oklahoma Art Guild’s life drawing sessions on the first and third Tuesday of every month at  the Oklahoma City Life Drawing Meet-up every Sunday at Geatches Studio, 410 NW 25th St, Oklahoma City.
