His Passion:  Drawing and Painting

Nick Wu is an artist of two continents.  His art training took place in China ( 1965-1991) where he learned to produce strong likeness of the human face and figure in a classical form. Inspired by artists such as Nicolai Fechin and Richard Schmid, he believes that drawing always dominates and defines form and volume.

Pursuing his finance degree brought Nick to Oklahoma in 1991.  His career includes strategic advisor to Chinese government, accountant with Ernst & Young, OCU finance professor, and financial advisor with Wall Street firms.  Nick is a member of the faculty of Norman Firehouse Art Center and the American Portrait Institute.

A Norman resident since 1992, Nick lives with his wife Shaoping, a OU human genome scientist, and his two athletically talented children, Justin and Tiffany.  Active in his community, Nick is also a graduate of 2008 Oklahoma City Leadership Class.
