Member's Gallery: Shirley Gibbons Shirley Gibbons was born in Houston, Texas and spent her childhood days in Oklahoma. Her husband, Alan, encourages her in her artwork and helps set up her many shows. Her extensive travels each year over the US is reflected in the degree and diversity of her art. Shirley has studied under many internationally known artists, and has taught for the Laramie College in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Through her long studies of new and different techniques she has evolved a distinctive style of her own. She is a certified art teacher and is known for her beautiful roses. She is extremely versatile in fine arts, and has been awarded many certificates and ribbons for her expertise. She has had many "one-woman" shows and her paintings are in numerous private collections. Due to her method of teaching, she is in great demand to conduct demonstrations, workshops and seminars.
