Smaller Works by the Oklahoma Art Guild Artists

The Oklahoma Art Guild show “Smaller Works” is set to open in the Historic Paseo Arts District at the Reserve by Paseo Grill, 2916B Paseo, Oklahoma City on Friday, August 6th, 2010. This exhibition will be on display, August 6th through August 27th.

The Oklahoma Art Guild’s Smaller Works show is a once a year opportunity to acquire original art at reasonable prices. This show features works that are a maximum size of 12”x12”. Guild members display their creativity and skill as they work on a small scale. All mediums, from oils to sculpture, are represented in this show.

Jan Gimlin, from Hobart, Oklahoma, will be the judge for this exhibit. Jan, after receiving her degree in art education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, pursued a career in public school art education. Some of her students went on to pursue careers of their own in art. She, after retiring from the public school system, has continued to teach, adult classes this time, and chase her own artistic muse.
