Artist Jay Holobach will demonstrate the Jay Holobach, an active OKC Urban Sketcher will be on hand to pique your interest in gouache, that wonderfully fickle water-based medium. Most agree that while gouache is essentially an opaque watercolor, the actual painting process can be similar to oil or acrylics.
For this demo, Jay will discuss and show:
Claire will create a colored pencil and pen dog portrait. She will focus on getting an accurate, proportional drawing and will demonstrate how to create fur with pen and colored pencil. Her three main steps are (1) the initial pencil drawing, (2) inking the drawing, and (3) color. She works primarily in colored pencil and pen when creating pet portraits.

Artist David Hollands demonstrates his cloud painting process
"I capture the powerful beauty of clouds and storms on camera and translate their majesty onto canvas with brush and oil paint. Each painting is an intimate portrait that reveals the structural elements and unique character of each storm cloud. My visual representations of storms honor the physical process by which Earth’s life sustaining water is distributed around the globe."
